As a result, beneficiaries of this scheme will be exempt from paying electricity bills during the month of August.
The Griha Jyoti Scheme has been designed with the objective of curbing electricity misuse. This is achieved by calculating the average electricity consumption over the past 12 months and providing an additional 10% of electricity free of cost.
